The Benue State SUBEB has now shortlisted the names of successful teachers who will be contacted by the Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Benue State to sit for the Computer-Based test or recruitment examination.
Although over seventy-four thousand (74,000) applicants from 23 local government areas applied for the Basic Education Schools recruitment exercise, SUBEB has shortlisted several candidates who have met the necessary qualifications for the computer-based test, screening, and interview.
All candidates who submitted a teaching application in Benue State are at the moment advised to check their names and report for screening and a computer-based test on the date released on the job recruitment list.
It is important to note that all the successful candidates who were shortlisted out of the seventy-four thousand (74,000) applicants across the 23 local government areas will undergo a screening, interview and a computer-based test process for the release of the final list for the year 2024.
Updates On Benue State SUBEB Shortlisted Candidates
In a statement issued by the Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Benue State, applicants who have checked their names but were not shortlisted are advised not to show up for the screening, interview, and computer-based test, since they are not selected for this process due to their inability to meet all of the criteria listed on the SUBEB application form.
As well, the Secretary of the Board emphasized in a brief statement that school teacher recruitment would provide all applicants with an opportunity to contribute to the growth of education in the state.
So, all teachers or applicants who are yet to check their names are to go to the state’s official portal, check their names and report on the official dates released by the Benue State SUBEB for other additional recruitment processes.
It is crucial to note that the government of Benue State has made it known to the public that all the teachers recruitment for the Basic Education Schools across the state will be conducted by the Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and all shortlisted candidates are advised to take note of all information which will be released on the state’s official portal.

All successful candidates must bring the following documents such as all academic certificates: NCE, B. Ed, B.Sc. Ed, or B.A Ed, WASSCE, NECO or GEC, a certificate of state of origin or declaration of age (not less than six (6) months old), print out their application slip, medical fitness report (government hospital), a certificate of state of origin and others with other relevant documents can attach their supporting documents when reporting for this exercise.
Time and dates for the 2024/2025 Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) interview, screening of shortlisted candidates and computer-based test have been released on the state’s official portal: https://benuestate.gov.ng/, to enable the public to have adequate information about the recruitment of school teachers.
NOTE: No further consideration will be given to any of the shortlisted candidates who do not report to the screening, interview, or computer-based test process for Benue State SUBEB recruitment.
Will The Benue State SUBEB Release Another List of Shortlisted Candidates for 2025?
No, unless there are any additional teachers to be recruited for the year 2025/2026, but the Executive Chairman of Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has not yet given any information.
Despite that, the public will be updated if there is any further recruitment of teachers. However, the board may release another list of shortlisted candidates soon, depending on the number of candidates required for its teaching positions.
